Report:Just the two of us for this Sunday off road ride. The trails were still super dry though we did experience a tough head wind for most of the way along the Ridgeway. Plenty of walkers and cyclists on gravel bikes too. One of my favourite sections along the Ridgeway is the section between Letcombe Bassett and Sparsholt Firs, the views didn’t disappoint. Wildlife spotted included Brown Hare, Kestrel, Muntjac and a Jay. Elevenses was taken at Cantorist where we both enjoyed some fine coffee, fresh cream raspberry doughnut’s and freshly baked quiche lorraine’s.We returned to Wantage via the Wilts and Berks Canal where the first section from West Challow was quite over grown, East Challow to Stockham was much better. Thank you Roger for your excellent company. | ||
