Report:Originally there was eight riders booked on this morning ride. unfortunately three riders had to cancel due to a change in circumstances. So, five of us set off on a lovely sunny though autumnal morning ride around Lockinge, the Ridgeway and Farnborough. It was a pleasure to welcome Steve and his daughter Sara on there first ride with the club. It was also nice to welcome back James on his second ride.Conditions out on the trails were actually pretty good though the usual puddles lay in places like the top of Larkhill. As we climbed Old Street the shades of golds and reds on the trees were absolutely amazing which counterbalanced the nagging headwind. We finished the ride on a high with the fantastic descent from the Ridgeway across the sheep’s field taking us through to Knights Farm at Lockinge, followed by some well deserved hot drinks at Marmalade. Many thanks to Terry for his excellent sweeping duties, and to everyone for being perfect company. | ||
