Description:A ride out to Blake's Cafe at Coleshill, somewhere we haven't been for a while. A section of the ride is along Puddleduck Lane, part of which isn't recommended for narrow tyres.Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Half day ride (45-55km / 30-40 miles), with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). |

Report:Using a route created by Roger, we set off for Blakes at Coleshill and after having crossed over the A420 using the "new" cycle crossing, we followed a shortcut route through a new estate before joining the Coxwell road.Once in Great Coxwell, we set off along Puddleduck Lane, a section of the ride that only Nick had cycled along before. A section of the track is very rough but a lot better than when Nick last cycled along it. After the coffee (and cinnamon bun) stop, we headed back to Grove with John leading at the front once we got to the Longcot road and the wind picked up. Both ways, the road to Denchworth was a lot busier than usual due to the Denchworth Road in Wantage still being closed. | ||
