Description:An extra Tuesday Evening 1* ride while there is still some evening daylight to ride in. An essentially flat loop around the Vale to West Hanney.Note the earlier start time to make the most of the light, but lights are required, as we may be out after sunset. Worth having an extra layer to put on as the temperature drops too. Our leisurely and sociable Tuesday evening 1* rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of 10-15 miles (16-24km) at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph (13-16kph), following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way. |

Report:Nice to get out for one final time on a Tuesday 1* ride this season before the evenings become too short. A warm welcome to Bonny on her first ride with the club.It was a mild if breezy evening and we had a few stretches into a headwind before eventually being pushed home. Although the temperature was dropping towards the end, we all agreed to complete the full planned route via Charney, making the most of our last evening ride. We were back in Grove just after sunset after an enjoyable spin around the Vale. Thanks all for you company. Don't forget that our regular Saturday 1* rides continue all year on the 3rd Saturday of each month. Hope to see you there! | ||
