Festival of Cycling Week proper dawned wet and it was raining when we started to assemble at 10 am, in the passageway through the Victoria Cross Gallery adjacent to the Bear. The covered forecourt of WH Smiths was free, so after a quick word and permission from the manager we relocated to the dry. Hopefully not too many missed us as a result.

Business was initially slow but picked about 12:00 when the sun came out. We briefly had three stands in use and a queue. Overall 16 bikes were 'MoT'ed and 8 postcoded, courtesy of Pc Peter Hales from Thames Valley Police. We had a number of enquiries at our stand and friendly visits from local cyclsits who prefer to do their own thing. Amongst the visitors was Alan, safely back from completing the End to End (congratulations). Suzanne Kelse from the Wantage & Grove Review popped along to take some photographs. Jan took the opportunity to use the bike stands to dismantle her damaged frame.

Thanks to all the mechanics for their help. Lets hope for better weather next year!
