All was going smoothly until we reached Lyford. Unfortunately due to a combination of mud and damp, the left hand side of the sharp right hand bend was like ice. Several of us skidded and unfortunately Alan came off falling heavily and injuring his leg. Although he was able to stand up, he was in some pain and he wasn't going any further on his bike. He was able to call Marion who came to pick him up. The good news is that nothing was broken. But he has torn his abductor muscles and will be off the bike for a few weeks. We wish him a speedy recovery.We made it to the AGM only 10 minutes after the start of the meeting, so we didn't miss much. Returned the long way round via Tubney, Longworth & Pusey. 3 of us making it all the way back to the museum for tea. Steve S. | ||
