Description:
Weekly 1.5 - 2 hours at a riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). May be hilly.

This ride will be at the HIGH end of the grade but still within it.

Out to Letcombe Regis via Childrey. Up Court Hill, down to Woolley. Brightwalton and Catmore to West Ilsey. Up to Farnborough and down Chain Hill back to Grove.

A coolish and overcast evening with a few glimpses of the Sun and a few spots of rain at times.

The lumpiness of the route made it a rather disjointed ride this evening as it was hard to keep a group rhythm going. A few mechanicals also meant we were behind schedule by the time we got to Lilley.

Riders were given the option of cutting the ride short by going directly back to Wantage via Farnborough or going the longer way via West Ilsley.

Around half opted for the short version so we split the ride in two with the remainder taking the longer way around. An uneventful run round to the top of Chain ensued followed by the lovely whoosh down to Wantage.

The longer routers were back around 8.50pm but still did the 45km in less than 2hrs cycling time so without the hold ups we did pretty well.
