Mince Pie Cycle Ride

Description:
To White Horse Hill for mince pies and mulled wine (from 11:15). To be followed by ride to lunch at The True Heart, Bishopstone. Back through the Vale in the afternoon, floods permitting.
We should be back well before dusk but, please can all riders ensure that they have working lights (just in case).

Report:
Today we smashed the 20 barrier on one of our Sunday rides for the first time. 22 riders plus Jane and Stephanie serving the mulled wine and mince pies.

After the rain earlier in the week, the morning was cold and misty, but dry. It was good to welcome Trevor and Graham and to see Neil L. again. We followed the foot of the Downs via Childrey, Sparsholt and Westcot to White Horse Hill and then most changed into bottom gear for the steep climb over the top. Then it was down into the car park for well-deserved mince pies and mulled wine. West Oxon soon arrived followed by a lone Alistair from Abingdon and three cyclists from Didcot. 40 in all turned up and
