Description:Starting from Grove! To the DA AGM via the Flowing Well at Sunningwell for lunch. We will be returning in the dark after the AGM so lights required. |

Report:6 riders left Grove on an overcast but dry morning heading out to Charney Bassett and Gainfield before turning eastwards towards Oxford. By the time we reached Appleton it was clear that we were running ahead of schedule, so the decision was made for a short diversion to the BBOWT nature reserve in Dry Sandford, Lashford Lane Fen. Although intending to stay for just 10 minutes or so, we ended up spending an enjoyable half an hour walking all the way around the wildlife walk.Back on our bikes it was a short ride over Boar's Hill past Yarn Mound before descending (without dissent) to Sunningwell for lunch. It was just starting to rain on arrival at the Flowing Well and our short trip into Kennington after a slow lunch was an unaccustomed wet one. The ride back after the AGM was indeed dark, but fortunately rain free. The direct route back via Radley, Abingdon, Steventon and Hanney saw 4 of us back in Grove in 75 minutes (Edith having been collected by car from Kennington). Steve | ||
