Turning north, the wind now became a crosswind, blowing hard through any gaps in walls and hedges and keeping the riders alert! We took the Hanson cyclepath at Drayton, still in good condition despite the previous week's rain, alongside a fast flowing Thames into Abingdon to tea at Tesco - no space or booking problems there!After tea, the loop through Shippon to Tubney and Frilford into what was now a serious headwind slowed progress dramatically and a shortened route through Garford, Lyford and Denchworth was necessary to allow a return to Grove before dark. A warm welcome to Veronica and Tony, new to WCTC - we hope to see you both again. 48kms. | ||
