Description:
A slightly hillier ride this week to Ginge via Sustrans route 44 (with some easy off-road). Out through Charlton, Lockinge and Betterton. From Ginge there is a great descent to West Hendred. There is a 1-mile stretch along the A417 to Ardington, then back via Lains Barn and another great descent into the Vale. About 12 miles in total.

Accompanied children and newcomers very welcome. These rides are designed to be a gentle and sociable introduction to group riding and to build rider confidence. As the name suggests, we aim to cover about 10 miles at a speed of about 10 miles per hour, stopping to rest and look at interesting things on the way.

Report:
An enjoyable, if somewhat damp, ride to Ginge & West Hendred. For some reason route 44 was busy with runners heading in the opposite direction to us this evening. Due to the weather we didn’t take too much time to enjoy the sites and kept up a good steady pace throughout.
