Riders:Anke OttoBarry Stanton David Hollick David Jackson John Tranter Pauline Clark Roger Postbeschild Shaun Packham Steve Swanton Riders = 9 Report:Another sunny and slightly chilly October day - enticing a great group out on a ride, and a welcome back to Shaun riding with us after a few years gap.All went well and the tailwind pushed us along very nicely, helping with the climb of Boars Hill and the drop down to Abingdon. The views of Oxford's dreaming spires were very clear and there a notable lack of cranes (the start of the new academic year might have something to do with that). We enjoyed coffee and cake at Java in Abingdon Market Place and then found that the wind had dropped just in time for the headwind section across Cow Common - bonus! Thanks to all for your company (and your patience as we wrestled with a complicated stuck chain issue). And thanks to Roger for the use of a split link... | ||
