It was certainly a lovely day and lots of you came out to enjoy it. There was some fairly strong gusts in a couple of places and the wind did seem to change direction with us but that’s cycling! I hadn’t ridden the route from Highworth to Filkins before and it turned out to be really pleasant, quiet, well surfaced roads. Filkins was excellent as usual and luckily quiet when we arrived en masse. The ride home via Bampton & Buckland was enjoyable and we all arrived back at Grove without any technical incidents or punctures which is always a bonus! Average speed 14.1 and 388m of climbing, a great way to spend Saturday afternoon.Welcome to Chris Whitworth & Peter Cowan on their first 3* with the club, hope to see you again soon. | ||
