Description:About 42 km (26 miles) heading outwards Lambourn via Blowingstones Hill, returning via a descent of Hackpen Hill, Childery, Challow, Goosey and Denchworth for the traditional Denchworth Dash to Grove.Pace will be 3* but you will have to regroup and wait for me at the top of the hills.  |

Riders:Adrian WestChris Walters Dave Martin David Smith Peter Cowan Phil Stubbings Richard Preece Simon Cramp Ursula Hallam Riders = 9 Weather: Report:The promised storms still hadn't materialized but the slightly lower temperature made for a fantastic ride. It was a good group that kept together well and we made very good progress to (and up!) Fawler Hill followed by the almost legendary Blowing Stone Hill. We all enjoyed the stretch to the B4001 Lambourn road and I think most of us enjoyed the climb back up to the Ridgeway.The ride leader has a moment of confusion about which way the route went after Hackpen Hill but the blast down cleared the cobwebs and we headed correctly off towards Childrey, Challow Station and ultimately, Denchworth for the Dash where I think Simon gave everyone a run for there money! Hope everyone enjoyed the ride as much as I did and thanks for coming along. Welcome to Simon on his first ride with CTC Wantage, we hope to see you again soon. | ||
