Description:
Weekly 1.5 - 2 hours ride at a riding pace in excess of 24km/h (15mph). May be hilly.

Mostly flat ride this evening - Goosey, Baulking, Woolstone - with just one bump, but it's a good one - West Dragon Hill! Then a few undulations - spring line road to Challow - before the run in back through the vale and a bit of a dash at the end.

It's 37 km with 300m of climbing.

We should be back before sunset, but if there is a puncture … please bring some lights.

What a great evening for a ride. Glorious sunshine. Magnificent views in and then over the vale. Well matched group of riders, until we hit the slopes!

We stayed as a tight group through to Woolstone, then spread out a bit going up West Dragon Hill, where we paused to enjoy the views. After descending the hill we pushed ourselves along the spring line road, with Simon setting the pace out in front.

We paused at the cross roads with Eastmanton Lane. Shall we go the back way up to Hackpen? It's only 7:30, so yes. Another little climb. Another pause to admire the view. Another whooshing descent.

We were back at OMH just a couple of minutes after sun set.

41 km horizontally and half a km vertically.
