Description:Monthly 80-100km (50-65 miles) all-day touring ride, lunch and possibly tea stop en route, at a riding pace of 18-22km/h (11-14mph). Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing almost inevitable.This ride will pass through West Challow,Childrey,Westcot,down Fawler Hill,Uffington,Faringdon,Coles Hill,Little Faringdon,then across to Filkins for lunch. After we are all refreshed we'll head across to Aston, then onto Yelford,Stanton Harcourt over The Thames at Newbridge, then up the A415 to Kingston Bagpuize. Then it will be the usual route back to Grove via Charney Bassett & Denchworth. This ride is one of the shorter all day rides at 51Miles. Expect to be back in Grove for 15:00hrs.  |

Report:A select group of riders set off from Grove on a very cloudy morning. The roads were very quiet. Everyone enjoyed the Coles Hill decent. We all made good time to our lunch stop at Cotswold Woollen Weavers, Filkins. A highly recommended lunch stop! On the second half of our ride the thick cloud started to disappear giving us a slightly brighter sky for the afternoon. Unfortunately an articulated lorry decided it was going to overtake us with a left hand bend ahead, nearly resultsing in a head on crash with a car Thankfully that was the only incident of the day! The rest of the ride went nice and smoothly. As we were a select group, we made excellent time back to Grove, arriving back for 14:15hrs Many to Jo for sweeping & thanks to everyone for being great company  | ||
