We had a nice blast along the Hanney Road to Steventon and soon despatched Steventon Hill. The main attraction was Hagbourne Hill which is a surprisingly tough little climb where there ought to be no hill! We were well organised and pre-arranged stopping points so the group could get together again after each climb. This system worked well until West Hendred when I stopped to have a brief natter with the offroad group we bumped into on the way up and discovered I had been dropped by own ride In future please wait for the leader to catch up The group reconvened at the top of the drop past Lains Barn and with the Sun setting and the shadows lengthening we made our way to Grove. Several of the group went back up the hill to Wantage, the rest of us went back to OMH. A quick 3* ride with an average speed of 25.1km/h which is a lot faster than it should be, especially considering the hills! | ||
