Description:Monthly 80-100km (50-65 miles) all-day touring ride, lunch and possibly tea stop en route, at a riding pace of 18-22km/h (11-14mph). Not suitable for irregular riders. An earlyish coffee stop at Aston Pottery and lunch at Lechlade Garden Centre, after a slight Cotswolds taster. Please note start at Old Mill Hall...you do have the extra 15 minutes to get there! |

Report:After the windy (with some rain) conditions of yesterday gone, it was lovely to ride in bright, if slightly chilly, conditions. The wind, as forecast, whilst light, was from the north....this fitted in with he planned route quite nicely.Coffee was taken at Aston Pottery, from where we rode out into the Cotswolds before turning left, pretty much leaving the headwind behind. Lunch at Lechlade Garden Centre went well. The climb up to Coleshill was a warmer for Badbury Hill, which was as tough as ever! A small group, but great company and the route was deemed to be 'a keeper'. There was a slight deviation to the planned route to make use of the safe haven crossing over the A420. Average speed 21.9kph. | ||
