Weekly 1.5 - 2 hours ride at a riding pace in excess of 24km/h (15mph). May be hilly.
Hillyish this week, up Chain then quick and lumpy all the way to Newbury where we turn right to Great Shefford, lumpy again to the top of Manor,wait for me at the bottom and home.
33 miles about 550m of climbing, av speed expected to be around 17 mph ish. No-one will be dropped ,we will wait at the top of Chain until the last one up is ready to move on.
Riders:
Andy Cowan
Frank Schroer
Nick Stokell
Riders = 3

Weather:
sunnylight rain showerscloudy with heavy rain
Report:
The weather meant that the pre ride brief consisted of shall just two of us do the ride then Nick? We agreed yes then Mr Schroer made it the FunBoy 3,so with Churchillian words of encouragement from the Club Chairman off we set.

Amazingly we rode it perfectly, even together up Chain we did rolling lead outs all the way to Newbury, touching 30 mph a couple of times, all the way to Shefford and even the lumpy bit to Manor. It must be said Frank did do the biggest turns but I thought it was about time a Dutch cyclist did something this year but full credit the pacing from each was ideal, so thanks gents.

The rain did get us at the end but that just upped the tempo to bring us safely home after 33 miles,450 metres of climbing at a good speed of 18.3 mph, no stress but a good stretch!

Pleased with that one.
Distance:
53.59 km (33.30 mi)
