Riders:Andy CowanFrank Schroer James Pittard Karen Froud Ken Pelton Laura Pittard Louis Hall Nick Stokell Paul Jarvis Peter Cowan Riders = 10 Weather:Report:Well how wonderful to get TEN riders for a 4*.We had the charming ,young, good riders in siblings Laura and James and I was pleased to see Karen again after her debut last week. Thanks to everyone for making this a classic CTC ride. We" skipped" up Manor, bombed on to Great Shefford, up Hungerford Hill, under the M4 before turning into some beautiful countryside on a gorgeous evening. Thanks Jarv for the route and sweeping. Then just on cue, pop. Pete`s turn for the visit of the puncture Gods, but it worked out fine. Frank stayed and they challenged themselves to catch us up, so we set off with Paul on the front to give them a chance and all rode tight on the wheel for a good few miles at a nice relaxed pace before the fast descent into Lambourn. Then the usual grind up to, before the down of Hackpen, where we waited for Pete and Frank(only joking lads)before heading home. Another example as if to prove a point, every ride is different, thanks everyone for your contributions.A cool ride. 600 m climbing | ||
