Description:Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Riding pace of 18-22km/h (11-14mph). Not suitable for irregular riders.Another attempt at the awayday ride from Hungerford that was cancelled at the end of August due to rain. Heading east and circumnavigating Newbury, (some of the route being "borrowed" from the Century Ride). 84k in total - a few hills, but time for everyone to do them at their own pace. Two stops, one at The Pantry in Yattendon and one at the Garden Centre at Ball Hill |

Report:4 riders set off from Hungerford. A cool and misty start meant it took a while for us to all warm up (+ we nearly ran into a cow in the fog on Hungerford Common!). However once the sun got higher in the sky it became a perfect cycling day. Lovely and warm with no wind.It was nice to start somewhere different which meant we pedalled on roads less travelled. It is amazing what beautiful scenery there is when circumnavigating Newbury. Cafe stops worked well. Not too busy, quick service and tables in the sunshine. Nicole joined us for part of the ride (+ lunch) having cycled with Newbury Velo in the morning. | ||
