Riders:Jan McCabeKevin Fairs Pat Hurt Sue King Riders = 4 Report:Four of us braved the elements for the start of this Audax, although I dont think Sue ever intended to complete, and she just rode home! A blistering pace (never, ever follow someone wearing a Corrinium Shirt, let alone a group of them) got Jan and Kev to the first control before it opened, but we had to slow down after that. Second control withouth incedent, still plenty of time, then Jan make the mistake of not checking the route and following Kev to Bourton on the Water. Nice place. Shame it was 10K off the route. We got to Northleach control to find Pat waiting for an all day breakfast, we had a couple of toasties, and left now with only minutes to spare on the maximum time. Jan then got two punctures!, we fixed one and just kept putting air in the other. Pat went on to procure coffees, and Jan and Kev arrived "last but one" - although the other chap didnt arrive by the time the control closed so I guess we were last! | ||
