Description:
A Summer version of the popular Mince Pie Ride. Designed as a social as much as a ride. Ride from Grove (led by a kind volunteer? Jan and Helen off to see who's left in the TdF) or meet at venue at 15:00 (Leisure Park at Linch Hill between Stanton Harcourt and Northmoor grid ref 415 041). Report:
A small success even if I say so myself. Despite the downpours of the previous night it stayed dry even sunny at times. Venue reasonable although cafe closed. Now I couldn't possibly knock Wantage's randonnuer par excellence, but Pat took Sue and Mavis to the wrong place despite correct name of venue and grid ref! Nice to see Eve and the ladies of Abingdon. More punters required next year as Jan considered it her moral duty to drink any non claimed Pimms. Glad you got home ok. Landis would not have been on stage 17 if he'd had two glasses of this! Many thanks to Ginny for transport and ideas. See you next year, pass the word!
