Riders:Clare HazellEddie Little Jenny Gower Lisa Footner Nick Dunton Philip (Pip) Jackson Roger Postbeschild Terry Penn Riders = 8 Weather:![]() ![]() Report:A good turn out of eight riders for this morning half day ride. It was nice to welcome back Jenny & Terry who i hadn’t ridden with for some time. We experienced variable weather conditions on the ride, some tuff head winds to some welcome tailwinds, mostly dry conditions with the occasional light drizzle which was very pleasant. Everyone seemed to enjoy the ride, some parts of the ride were new to all including our cafe stop at the Ox Shed Cholsey. A fantastic menu along with super fast service and freshly prepared food and drinks. Definitely one to return to another time. It was nice to use various cycle friendly off road routes around Cholsey, East Hagbourne, the old railway line Didcot to Upton and the Icknield Way. Terry suffered a rear puncture at Lockinge. This was rapidly fixed by Terry with a little assistance from Roger, then we were soon on our way again heading back to Grove. Many thanks to Nick for being secondary leader when required. Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting this ride and for being a very pleasant group to lead. ![]() | ||
