A modest group of seven of us on the 2* ride. Although the linked map shows the planned ride we did make one detour: Roadworks during the day had left loose chippings on part of the road between Denchworth and Hanney. We avoided some of the chippings by turning north to go via Lyford then re-joining the route on Winder Lane (The Hanney - Southmoor road). A short stop in Denchworth on the way back enabled us to see the unusual war memorial on the side of The Fox public house. | ||
