Description:Just short of 60km / 40 miles for this afternoon ride, with a tea stop at the Malt Shovel in Upper Lambourn, at a riding pace of ~18km/h (11-13mph). Quite hilly but we can take them steadily.This will be at the harder end of the 2* range, so that 2* riders can get a flavour of an easy 3* ride. |

We climbed Court hill before going on to the Wooley monument. Two of us went straight to Shefford while the rest went to Boxford via Chaddleworth and then on to rejoin the other two in Shefford. Up the Lambourn valley to Upper Lambourne and the Malt Shovel for a drink at about 3:30. Great spot on an afternoon like that but they don't serve food after 3. Then back to Wantage.by about 5.Maybe though there was a hill too many for those who aren't used to them and 2+ rides might be better off with rides a little bit longer than usual rather than a bit hillier. | ||
