Nine cyclists headed out of Grove in the direction of Lains barn for the first hill of the ride. We made exceedingly good time with everyone beating me to the top. Then for the roller coasters up and down the hills around Ardington and the Hendreds through Featherbed Lane and down the hill to Steventon where the cyclists thought I was leading them down a dead end lane - they have no faith in my judgement, but they followed reluctantly. We did make it back on the Hanney road and headed for home. But a cycle accident slowed us down when Dennis came off his cycle at traffic slowing bollards. with his back light broken and his pride hurt we continued home. | ||
