Saturday afternoon ride from Grove	3*

Description: Nick’s Fat Buster ride: no significant hills but a lot of this ride is slightly uphill, so a good work-out. We’ll be aiming for a brisk average pace of c. 25 k.p.h. Should be back in Grove by 5.00 p.m. at the latest, so shouldn’t need lights. If conditions are good and the group is going well, we may extend the last section and add the “Cercle de Didcot”. Route: Grove, Denchworth, West Hanney, Southmoor, Longworth, Appleton, Cumnor, Abingdon, Sutton Courtenay, Didcot, Harwell, East Hendred, Ginge, East Lockinge, West Lockinge, Grove. Spring-like weather, flowers in the hedgerows, green leaves appearing, warm sunshine ... We did the longer version of the ride: 80km covered at an average of 24 k.p.h. Good tea stop at the Garden Centre in Blewbury.
