Report:Or rather Snowdrops in Wantage & Sparsholt. With a headwind and steady rain, cycling from Grove into Wantage was hard work and it was no day to be cycling over the Downs. I wasn't expecting a crowd and it was hardly surprising that no one else turned up. After waiting 10 minutes in the Market Place, and already wet, I decided I might as well get a ride in and so started out westwards along Priory Road. Almost at once, I was delighted to see snowdrops in the churchyard. After a quick photo stop, I continued on towards Westcot along the B-road and turned back towards Sparsholt. Here there are snowdrops in abundance in a area of woodland opposite the church. Well worth the stop and we should see them again on Glenn's ride on Sunday. Returned home by way of Goosey and Denchworth, damp but pleased to have at least been out. | ||
