Description:A chance to blow away the cobwebs and get your bike out for a gentle and sociable start to the riding season - this is a guest ride to which all are welcome. Note the 2pm start time.The route will follow the quiet lanes of the Vale of White Horse with options for those who might like a shorter (~10 miles) rather than a longer ride (up to 16 miles). We'll ride through the pretty villages of Denchworth and Lyford and then either up to Southmoor (longer) or down to the Hanneys (shorter) with a few short stops and a longer stop on Charney Bassett green for a drink and energy bars. The pace will be easy and no-one will be left behind. Families and friends of club members and new riders are very welcome, although children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There will be plenty of experienced hands to help with minor repairs or punctures. Please bring adequate clothing, sunblock and refreshments. |
