Report:I'll start with the confession: we didn't go up Streatley hill.It was a cool and showery day and by the time we got to Goring, we all felt we'd done a good half a ride. Unfortunately, we hadn't reckoned on the head wind that was on us all the way home - worst on the Hanney Road. But we made it! For lunch, we first tried Pierreponts by the river in Goring. It does great food and cakes, though it's not at the cheap end. But we just missed the last big table, so we headed back to Wallingford and went to Bloc Brazilian - and were very happy with that. Despite the lack of Streatley Hill there were plenty of smaller but still steep hills that we had tackled East of Wallingford. With that and the headwind, none of us felt short-changed for cycling effort! | ||
