Description:Climbing out of Wantage, then a rollercoaster, then some flat - 28km out via Icknield Way to Uffington and back via Goosey. Lights are a good idea...We'll be collecting £5 voluntary donations from riders over the next few weeks to cover our costs for the AGM buffet and the website. Bring your wallets if you'd like to donate - it's the only source of income the club has. |

Riders:Adrian WestAngela Sanders Chris Walters David Emms Frank Schroer Ginny Henderson Iain Kent Janet Charleston Maurice Bawden Peter Busby Philip Thornton-Evison Tony Smith Riders = 12 Report:12 of us left Grove (nearly on time - please make every effort to be ready to ride for 18:30 or risk being left behind on these shorter evenings) tackling the cheeky little climb through Challow to blow away the cobwebs. We took a break at the top to let the group regroup, cough up lungs and admire the view before taking the rollercoaster to Kingston Lisle, down Fawler Hill to Uffington. After Baulking there was a little spirited dash back to the main road before we returned via Goosey and Denchworth.A nice little ride at a good pace, and I'm really pleased to say that the standard of group riding was excellent - well done everybody! Entertainingly, the GPS trace below seems to think we took a detour via Sudan directly over the no-fly zone over Libya! | ||
