I say "warm" with a wry smile, as by the end, Tim was rueing his decision to wear summer kit, and looking forward to a steaming hot bath!Heading out we picked up Sorrel at Hanney and then rode at our own paces against the cold easterly wind along Cow Lane, regrouping and having a quick breather in Steventon. Frank must have been drinking diesel again, as when he gets up to speed, he can't be caught! The rest of the ride was much more leisurely and the group stayed together well until we bade Ginny and Maurice adieu at their various escape points. As the sun dropped below the horizon at Charney Bassett, the temperature went from OK to damn chilly! Well done to everyone for working hard tonight, and I hope toes are properly thawed out by now! | ||
