Description:Our new season of sociable and leisurely rides for newcomers to cycling, irregular cyclists and families will start off with a gentle potter to the small village of Goosey and its expansive green and back. we ride on quiet backroads via Denchworth and Asti stud, a round trip of about 8 miles at a riding pace of about 10 miles per hour.We'll stop to admire the scenery and anything that takes our eye, and no-one will be left behind. All are welcome although U-18s should be accompanied by a responsible adult . There will be the opportunity to join with riders from other groups for a social stop at the Fox, Denchworth on the way back, or to continue straight back to Grove. Lights are advised if you want to stop at the pub, but otherwise we'll be back in Grove before dark. Please bring an extra layer to slip on later as the evening cools. |

A warm welcome to Helen, Beth and the Tucker family.We followed the route as planned at a gentle pace stopping in Denchworth to look at the old village cross and on the far side of Goosey green to admire the meadows. But with a dropping temperature and a cooling breeze, it wasn't an evening to linger. We got back to the Fox just after 7:30, where 4 of us stopped for a drink while 4 led by Robin carried on back to Grove. After enjoying a sociable beer, joined first by David, then Neil and later the 2* and 3* riders, we headed back to Grove before it got dark, Chris and Susan joining us for the ride. Thanks to Steve B for sweeping. Hopefully see you all next week. | ||

- 4* - Suitable for athletic riders who can ride safely above the 3* standard. Quick rides for the fit.
