Description:Kevin F will lead a hardy band to meet the Lambourne contingent at the Lambourne Church at 13:30, where Mavis will lead the ride to Welford Manor. A small donation is common for entrance. Please ensure that you have working lights just in case. |

We did see snowdrops however, and there really are elephants at Wickham.Ten of us departed Wantage on a glorious day, to meet the other three at Lambourne. The first mishap of the day was Richard, who managed to go over his handlebars on the way UP Hackpen hill, after his bike objected to the continued lack of attention and the front mudguard met the front wheel. Still, he landed on his head so was OK! On our return from the church Robins pannier went into his back wheel causing it to buckle, so he had to continue without a functioning rear brake. Mavis kindly supplied the tea stop, with Pat making a dash to Lambourne for cakes. | ||
