CTC Oxfordshire Bourton-on-the Water Weekend 2*/3* | 2* |
---|
Leader:Steve Swanton |
Start Time:9:00 am |
Start Location:Grove |
Description:Update 11 May: further details now posted on CTC Oxfordshire website. See URL below. We are planning a long weekend away to Bourton-on-the-Water over the Jubilee Bank Holiday. There will be a ride out on Saturday 2nd June (3*), returning on Tuesday 5th June (3*), with a choice of rides on Sunday and Monday, one fairly short of 25 miles (2*), the other about 50 miles (3*). These rides will start in Bourton (provisionally) at 9.30am going in a NE or NW direction to explore the heart of the Cotswolds. As usual, there will be stops for coffee and lunch. Some people will be camping while others prefer to B&B. As this is Jubilee Weekend, we expect Bourton to be particularly busy and would advise early booking. Steve and Robin are planning to cycle out on Saturday to meet the group from Oxford for coffee at Yarnton Garden Centre , Steve leaving Grove at 9am. We'll then continue onto Bourton for a late lunch at the Mousetrap. It's about 22 miles to coffee and 46 miles to Bourton and then about 30 miles back via Burford, Brize and Bampton if you want to make a day ride of it. Further details on the routes for Sunday and Monday in the individual ride entries below. Riders are welcome to join us for the whole or part of the weekend. If you are interested in coming on one or more days please contact Steve or the individual ride leader. For further details including links for accommodation please see the CTC Oxfordshire website. |
