Report:The first sign of autumn is the end of most of the CTC Tuesday evening rides. But one continues through the colder 6 months of the year - the off-road ride. The first ride of the season saw two transfers from the road rides: Frank and Luke. And, despite being autumn, the weather was great and the trails the driest since spring. Climbing up Goddards Brook and to the Ridgeway was noticeably easier than it has been due to the firm ground under-wheel. We saw quite a few other riders out taking advantage of the good tracks. We rode east on the Ridgeway and down the Ginge singletrack, again this was in good shape with only a few metres of mud left. How long can it last? As we followed Ginge Brook it was getting dark - unfortunately I'd only brought one spare light, so Frank had to make do with his commuting light. Next time David Y and I will bring all the spare wattage we can find! | ||
