Description:To celebrate the return of the website, and to defy the likely weather forecast, I think we will do a hill this week! Nothing too awful, just Hackpen Hill.So - around Wantage to the Letcombes, up the aforementioned minor challenge and then back down the exhilarating descent to Sparsholt, along to Kingston Lisle, down Fawler Hill to Uffington and then back through the Vale the usual way. This gives us a few short cut options in case the weather is really bad! Around 22 miles or 35 km. |

Report:Wow, what terrible weather! Just when we thought it was summer, it appears winter has returned.We combined the 1* and 2* rides and cut down the route around the Vale accordingly. It just got darker, windier and wetter as we went along! However, great credit to Viv for stepping up from previous 1* rides to what was really a 1.5* ride here and for beating her previous all-time distance record! | ||
