Our leisurely and sociable 10-mile club rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise.

We cover a distance of about 10 miles at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph, following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way.

Newcomers and returnees to cycling, and accompanied children very welcome.

This week we are passing the water cress pond at Letcombe Regis and the duck pond at Childrey. Short sections of the route is along footpaths. A couple of short climbs for extra calorie burning. Good views along most of the route.

Report:
Another glorious evening for a bike ride even if it was the toughest 1 star ride of the season as far as gradients. In addition there were additional challenges of ‘nettle bed alley’ and pruning the brambles to establish a restricted route. Stats : 9.6m/hr average & 45grams of fat burnt off.
