Description:
A trip to the Letcombes this week and an opportunity to climb Holborn Hill. It's the steepest hill that we cover on 1* Tuesday rides, but there is no rush and plenty of time to enjoy the views from the top. Route details:-

we will take it very gently to Letcombe Bassett via Wantage / Letcombe Regis footpath so we are all 'fit & able' to climb Holborn Hill as we leave Letcombe Bassett. But soon there is a nice long downhill section to Childrey. Then the footpath to West Challow. Back to Grove via Denchworth.

Optional stop at The Fox in Denchworth at the end of the ride.

We'll aim to be back in Grove before dusk but ,with the nights drawing in, lights may be necessary for cycling home particularly if over-caste.

Around 11 miles.

Our leisurely and sociable 10-mile club rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of about 10 miles at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph, following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way.
