Description:For anyone who enjoyed the Blowingstone audax and wants to try another, Didcot Phoenix is running the Barbury Bash on the above date. Start is in Milton.Course is similar to Blowingstone [i.e. very hilly!], crossing the Vale to ascend to Barbury Castle, then through Ogbourne St George, Great Shefford, Farnborough and West Ilsley, finishing with an adrenalin-rich 400m down the A34! There are also 160 and 200km rides which start earlier [warning – these are very tough!]. Pre-entry required through the AUK website. |

Report:Several CTC Wantage riders tackled the 100km version of this ride (Nick riding on Saturday as he was manning one of the controls on Sunday).Bryan Charleston rode the 160km version and John Talbot rode the 200km version. | ||

- 2* - Suitable for regular riders who prefer to cover some distance but at a more relaxed pace. Likely to be half-day rides. Solid exercise.
- 3* - Suitable for experienced riders, may be hilly, long, quick, or any combination! Likely to be half or full-day rides. Challenging exercise.
- 4* - Suitable for athletic riders who can ride safely above the 3* standard. Quick rides for the fit.
