Description:Off-road ride around local tracks, usually about 15 miles. Knobbly tyres and good lights required. We are keen to welcome new riders and have spare lights available to borrow if you let me know.Dark, cold and wet - we'll ride in any 2. But please let me know if you are coming so I can tell you if I decide to cancel due to really bad weather. |

Report:A ride of contrasts due to the weather:- Either struggling in to the wind, or gliding along with it. - Either big puddles, or blow-dried tracks. - Either dark threatening clouds, or riding straight into the sun ... but we didn't get rained on and we didn't get blown off course, managing to complete 3 climbs of the Ridgeway! Out via Crab Hill and Lark Hill and up to the Ridge. Down Ice Valley and back up to Betterton cross. East to Harwell campus and down the great whoopy hill. West against the wind and sun, and up Zigzag hill. West even more against the wind to Betterton Cross once more for another great blast down! Then back via Lockinge, Charlton and Crab Hill to Grove. | ||
