Description:Off-road ride around local tracks, usually about 15 miles. Knobbly tyres and good lights required. We are keen to welcome new riders and have spare lights available to borrow if you let me know.Dark, cold and wet - we'll ride in any 2. But please let me know if you are coming so I can tell you if I decide to cancel due to really bad weather. |

Report:Tonight's ride was short on riders (just two Daves), but big on drizzle. It made for a distinctly soggy ride.We went out via the usual Crab Hill route and then to Lockinge and along to Betterton. We chose the climb up to the Ridgeway from here as the surface was likely to be consistent despite the rain. Once atop the Ridgeway we rode eastwards before dropping down to West Ilsley, stopping only for a super sharp flint puncturing my rear tyre, creating a split too long for the tubeless fluid to deal with. Thanks to Dave for coming back up to check on me and assisting with the plugging of the hole. From West Ilsley we headed along the road towards Lands Ends, and then up Wether Down (Ice Valley), and then back to Lockinge via the Bitham Wood and Goddard's Brook. Then we took the usual route back to Grove via Crab Hill. This Dave was jealous of the other Dave's waterproof shorts, but a good ride was enjoyed by the both of us. | ||
