Report:
The threat of rain may have discouraged riders, as only 6 of us set off from Wantage after having waved goodbye to Kevin F. before he went back to bed (looks like it's becoming a tradition on Sunday rides, Kevin!). We hurried for picking up Steve S. in Grove, straight back from Japan the night before and looking forward to a good snooze at the AGM!
Unlike last year we all arrived safely and on time for the start of the AGM, to which Steve Q. has also cycled but separately from us (now he has hands on the DA coffers, one can understand Steve is getting worried when riding with us - you never know what can happen on a dark night in a deserted lane somewhere around...).
Having left Pat behind with a puncture, we saw him already there when we turned up. That's what you get when you put a foreigner in the lead...
AGM and picnic lunch done and dusted, we came quietly back home through the flat (honest!) lanes of the Vale, and made it well on time for the traditional tea at the Museum, having enjoyed a dry ride which was a more than welcomed change from the recent weeks.
