Riders:Alvaro ReyAmanda Seddon Jon Seddon Nick Stokell Pete Warwick Simon Dales Riders = 6 Report:We attempted to repeat the Sport (44Km) category ride of the recent Letcombe Evans Trailride series. The week before we had done the expert (56K), which was absolutely awful due to the deep mud on much of the course.Anyway, we cycled to Smiths Hill, via Letcombe Regis and then went along The Ridgeway, down a cheeky descent to Lands End and immediately up to The Ridgeway again, before crossing over to Betterton. From there we headed along to Harwell and rejoined The Ridgeway and crossed to West Ilsley. So far much of the mud had dried out, which we took as a good sign. A fast section along the road to towards Farnborough, taking a track through the bluebell woods, which realised our fears of mud. At this point we decided to chicken out and head back to Lands End and over The Ridgeway (again) through East Ginge and back to Wantage. | ||
