OVO Women's Tour trip to Faringdon 2*

This is a special one off trip to visit the OVO women's Tour as it passes through the Vale.

We'll follow a familiar route via Goosey and Uffington to Faringdon where we'll get a bite to eat and get our place on the kerbside before the Tour passes through around 12.30.

The Farcycles cycle club group are inspired to paint the whole town pink so wear AS MUCH PINK as you can to get into the swing of things :)

We return from Faringdon via Hatford and Charney Bassett, all in all about 38k taken at a pleasant 2* pace.

Should be a very enjoyable day ride !
Report:
A splendid ride out out through familiar lanes towards Faringdon was made all the more special by the anticipation of a good view point to see the OVO Women's Tour fly through. We weren't disappointed ! We arrived in good time to get coffee and eats at the excellent 'Stay Grounded' coffee shop in the square.

Faringdon had gone to town in the paint it pink stakes, with pink pigeons, pink bikes and pink everything galore. (Sadly not eye-catching enough to get on telly :( )

The wait was longer then anticipated with the race being neutralised at Harwell but spirits remained high as the race went through - in about 38 seconds!

Then back off to Hatford, Charney Bassett and finally finishing at Grove in time for tea.

Thanks to everyone for a lovely day out and lets do it again next year !!!
