We took the A417 cyclepath to Charlton and then the newly resurfaced track from Larkdown to Lockinge. In Lockinge, the fast ride (12 riders) led by Steve rode ahead while the regular ride (6 riders) led by Edith continued at a more leisurely pace to the Betterton Turn.The fast ride (or more like medium-fast) continued to Ginge turned down the hill to West Hendred and across the path to East hendred. Given the choice, the group decided they'd prefer to loop back up to the Ginge Farm track and return via Ardington and Lains Barn (rather than continuing to Steventon and back via the Hanneys. We enjoyed the climbs and the long descents. Back in Grove at 8:10pm after 15 miles. We bid warm welcomes to newcomers Diana and Mike. Steve | ||
