The pub looked a welcome sight but unfortunately most of the loop was still to come at this point. The climb up Sincombe hill warmed everyone up but not quite enough for the chill that was to be experienced descending to the Downs road.Various light failures meant that the loop was cut short as we headed back along the Downs road to Windmill Hill, getting to the pub at a respectable 7.50. Good food and a few drinks were enjoyed before the hardy 5 set off for home, leaving the 6 'sensible' ones to enjoy the warmth of their car journeys home. | ||
