Of the 14 riders who took part, 10 were from Wantage and Pat organised the hunt.This was certainly a hunt with a difference: 10 photographs of curiosities along the route that we had to put in order of discovery. Church windows, St.George slaying the dragon, almshouses and an goods waggon in a field were among the objects we had to espy. So we all cycled along looking everywhere but where we were going. Even so, none of us spotted the wooden log stranded 6ft up a telegraph wire in Radley (we thought it was the April Fool Clue). It was a longish route too - 27 miles via Boars Hill, Abingdon, Steventon, Hanney and Fyfield. The hunt certaintly added an extra dimension. A quick check of the route up to the closed tunnel at Fyfield was rewarded by spotting the winning clue by yours truly and Jules (all the other teams went straight along the A420). Really enjoyed it.
