Description:10/12 Very sadly due to the sub-zero temperatures forecast tomorrow the ride and the mince pie meet at White Horse Hill have been cancelled.9/12 - change of plan as David is unwell. We are now combining the 1* and 2* rides. Please note the LATER START TIME of 10am. Do come well wrapped for the cold conditions forecast. Our annual festive ride, in aid of Whizz-Kidz, the children's mobility charity, and the culmination of this year’s White Horse Cycle Challenge. Ride out with us to the NT car park at White Horse Hill, Uffington, for mince pies and mulled wine. We'll travel at 11-12 mph to keep warm and take the direct route via East Challow, Childrey, Sparsholt and Westcot before regaining the Springline and then up Whitehorse hill. See 1* ride entry for route details. There is an on-road option from East Challow to Childrey avoiding the bridleway between the two. We'll return to Wantage through the Vale, passing the Fox in Denchworth for those stopping for lunch. |
